Politician walks the walk, talks the talk, and smokes the dope in new campaign video.

There’s a politician in Louisiana, Gary Chambers, who is running for a Senate seat. Part of his platform is to legalize marijuana. He believes in it so much, that he has a YouTube video running where he is smoking a joint while talking about his candidacy. He ends the spot by saying that most of the people are arrested for small amounts of pot adding, “just like me” and it’s a shot of him blowing out some smoke.

Honestly, as a guy who helps everyone in Nebraska, including politicians, create marketing and commercials, I have to say it’s a well done spot. He is dressed well. He states facts and supports his case in a motivating manner. He doesn’t blame anyone or point fingers. Although, for some reason the creatives have him sitting in a a leather business chair out in the middle of a field on a dreary looking day. I don’t understand why they did that.

Anyway, who remembers when Bill Clinton claimed he didn’t inhale because that would have been a huge scandal?

I’m not going to post the actual Gary Chambers video on my blog, but HERE IS A LINK TO AN ARTICLE that has the video.
