This just sounds unreal. A teacher was beat up by a 5 year old. It happened at Two Pine Lakes Elementary School in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The teacher put an unruly kid in a special room where they’re supposed to chill out. This child started tossing things and attacked the teacher. She called other staff for help and eventually the police showed up. By the time an officer showed up, the teacher was on the ground, barely conscious, and not responding. She ended up needing surgery. Apparently the kid lunged at her, she fell backwards, and hit her head. Then when she was down, he started beating on her. It wasn’t the first time. He had physically assaulted and caused injury to the teacher twice before this.
I commend teachers for having to deal with things like this. In today’s atmosphere, I doubt she could have legally constrained the kid or don’t anything physical. She’d also asked for help from the school district multiple times before this and they told her no because of a lack of resources.
