Trees are high. That’s why, if a cat needs rescuing you should leave it to the fire department. A 17 year old kid in Indianapolis saw a cat up in a tree. He wanted to do a good deed. Good for him. So he climbed the 35 foot tree to rescue the cat. Bad idea.
As someone who climbed everything when he was a kid, including a lot of trees, let me just say that the climbing up is always……… ALWAYS…. 100 times easier than the climbing down. My nickname was “Monkey”. Trust me on this.
So, two hours later, the fire department showed up with a ladder and some ropes and rescued this kid from the tree. The best part is that they left the cat up there. The owner of the cat had to hire a private company to go up and get the cat back down.
