I am the lone Covid hold out.

I know I’m tempting fate, but everyone I know has now had Covid except me. This past weekend, my folks came to visit. Dad started coughing with a huge headache with coughing and phlegm Saturday morning. They went home. He tested positive. Then Sunday morning I was coughing. So I tested myself. Negative. I tested myself again this morning. As I was doing it, I noticed Jenny was coughing a lot. So I suggested she do a test. Mine came up negative. Within minutes, the blue line under the “T” showed up big and bad on Jenny’s. Up until this weekend, neither one of us have ever tested positive for Covid. I suspect I had it 7 months ago when it went around the building here, but we’ve each been tested about 7 times over the past two years and it’s never showed up. I don’t think Jenny was actually that close to my dad. They were basically in the same room for half an hour.

Now, I need to wear mask at work for the next 10 days and test again in 5. We’ve established the quarantine zone at home. I’m probably going to test every morning for the next week now. I’ll need to pick up some more tests at the pharmacy.
