A British company is giving paramedics training in…… jet packs. These James Bond looking health care workers will be able to reach people in places that other vehicles can’t, like the side of a mountain. The idea is to get care to injured people faster. The pack is actually more like a suit and kind of works like Iron Man’s. There are devices that go over each hand. Inside each of those are 2 miniature jet turbines so that you can use your hands to help control your direction and speed. Then, there’s the part that goes on your back with its own larger jet engine in it. You can see fire coming out of the engines like on a fighter jet which is both cool and a little scary considering it’s strapped to your back. Something else that’s cool is that they can create the jet packs with a 3-D printer. But they’re expensive at $440,000 each.
