Here’s an interesting early Christmas gift idea, a candle that smells like Grandma’s kitchen. That’s how they’re describing it. When I first saw that, I couldn’t decide on what a grandma’s kitchen would actually smell like. If I were to go with my grandmas’ kitchens, one smelled like roast to me. She was always fixing big roasts with mashed potatoes for family dinners. The other…… probably Lemon Pine Sol. The ad for the candle says it has top notes of butter, apple, and cream. Then mid notes of cinnamon and clove with bottom notes of sugar cookie and vanilla. And it says that it can last for up to 80 hours. It better, the thing costs 40 bucks.
I asked several co-workers what their grandmas’ kitchens smell like. Kaleb our Sports Director says that he knows there a distinct smell, but he can’t describe it except to say that there isn’t a comparison. Kenny The Tech Guy said clean and comfortable. Brooke says her grandma’s kitchen smells like Pine Sol too, but not lemon; the regular kind. Let us know what your grandma’s kitchen smelled like. I posted the question on the B107.3 Facebook page.
