Big Macaque Attack! Normally peaceful snow monkeys attacking people in Japan.

By Austin Michael Jul 29, 2022 | 8:03 PM

It was monkeys going after people in India last month. Now it’s monkeys in Japan. This month alone, Japanese macaques, have attacked 58 people in the small city of Yamaguchi.

Japanese macaques! These are possibly the most laid back monkeys in the world. You’ve seen the snow monkeys that hang out in hot water springs on a mountain in Japan, right? That’s these guys! Normally they just hang out with people like lazy stoner buddies. I know. Jenny and I walked for 2 hours up a mountain just so they could play with her hair.

No one has been seriously injured, but a few people have bites and cuts. The government is taking it seriously. Teams with tranquilizer guns are sent out to catch them. If a monkey is identified as having attacked someone, they put it to sleep. They don’t have any idea what’s getting the macaques all riled up either because they’re not starving. IN fact, they’ve tried to trap them with food, but the monkeys have no interest in it. A spokesperson says he’s never seen anything like it in his life.

Maybe they’re tired of Japan making 8 thousand different, terrible flavors of Kit Kats.
