I can’t say this enough. Always proof read documents. It’d blow your mind how many legal and business documents I’ve seen that people wrote and filled with ungodly amounts of spelling and grammar errors that completely change the meaning of things. For example, a woman in Nevada who just trying to buy a home. But, someone in the assessor’s office hit a wrong key and accidentally copied and pasted something that wasn’t supposed to be, the woman ended up with her name on titles for 84 lots worth millions of dollars. All for the price of that one house. It was eventually caught, but not until after it went out the door to other people.
What makes this seem even worse is that the assessor’s office in this case admitted that this sort of thing happens “fairly often” because of copy and paste mistakes. That’s all right, Try, try again and all that. I’m sure they’ll get it right by the time it’s a billion dollar mistake.
