Eat your greens to fight cancer. By that I mean green bananas. Put the veggies aside for now and gobble an unripe banana with that too firm, overly starchy feeling it leaves in your mouth. That starch is the healthy part. A new study says that the starch in green bananas can reduce the risk of some cancers by 60%. It’s called resistant starch. The study was done with people who had a high hereditary risk of cancer. They ate the starch for 2 years. It reduced cancers throughout the body, except the bowel, by more than 50%.
