I’m a fan of Clive Barker books. He’s like Stephen King with more detail. Hulu has remade “Hellraiser”. BUT, and I think I like this idea, Pinhead is now a woman played by Jamie Clayton. Or, it kind of looks like they’re going for a gender neutral look with Pinhead now. You will not recognize her. And they effect her voice so it doesn’t quite sound female. You might know Jamie from the 3rd season of “Designated Survivor”. She was also on Netflix’s “Sense 8”. Then there’s the puzzle box. It looks exactly the same as all the movies before, but with CGI, they’ve made it work cooler. In the 80s movies, it always just looked like they were running their fingers over it. Now it makes shapes and gets bigger. And the demons are waaaaay creepier looking. The original movie demons were creepy, but still had a bit of that “this is just a mask” look to them. These look real. They haven’t said anything more outside of releasing the trailer for it outside of the release date. It’ll be just in time for Halloween; October 7th.
