Is the football season putting a strain on your relationship? Considering all that’s transpired at Nebraska the last four weeks . . . my hunch is YES.
The website BetOnline.ag wanted to find out what areas of the country watch too much football (college and NFL), and they used SIGNIFICANT OTHERS to do it. For the past 30 days, they used geotagged Twitter data (keywords, hashtags, and phrases) to find which state watches too much football . . . via the complaints from significant others.
Here’s some of the Twitter geotags they used to search (some of which made me giggle): phrases like “watch too much football,” “always watching football,” “football season ruining relationship,” “spends all day watching football,” etc.
The results . . .
Over 150,000 Tweets were tracked (83% women), and the state with the most complaints from significant others . . . West Virginia.
I’m shocked it’s not Nebraska. But Nebraska isn’t too far behind. Ohio is #2 . . . Nebraska is #3, and the rest of the Top 10 is: Iowa . . . Texas . . . Kentucky . . . Indiana . . . Idaho . . . South Carolina . . . and Colorado.
If your tired of your s/o crabbin’ about Nebraska football (especially now), it’s only going to get worse. Peace and blessings. Lol.
