A Nebraska couple who moved to Florida after their home and restaurant got flooded out in Waterloo in 2019. And now it’s like Deja vu for them. TJ and his wife Lisa had opened another restaurant on Fort Meyers Beach just last March. As of yesterday, the entire building was halfway underwater. TJ told an Omaha news outlet that they had a lot of Husker memorabilia inside and now it’s all gone. The couple are currently evacuated to Fort Lauderdale. It’s around 100 miles away from their home and business.

I went to the restaurant’s website. They must have made their last update before knowing about the hurricane. At the top of the home page it says, “FYI – We will be closed 9/30 and 10/1” like they were just going to take a couple days off. Looking at the pictures, the back patio looks nice……….. I mean, looked nice.
