Dame Angela Lansbury left us just shy of her 97th birthday when she passed on Tuesday. I think it probably goes without saying that she had a legendary career. From stage to screen to small screen, Angela Lansbury had so many different and amazing roles. From earning the first of five Tony awards for Mame, to Sarah Lee Gates (Elvis’s MOM) in Blue Hawaii, to Miss Price in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Dame Angela Lansbury was the voice of The Dowager Empress Marie in Anastasia, the legend Jessica Fletcher in Murder She Wrote, and, of course, the voice of Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast. That’s just a small amount of her legendary roles, and I cherry-picked my favorites!
