What side dishes are you serving on Turkey Day? I ran across an article that lists a bunch of old time sides that used to be popular. Some sound……… not so delicious. For instance, cornbread dressing with oysters. It sounds like it’s missing something. Or, Au Gratin Potatoes with Leeks. Nor will you finding olive stuffed celery on my list any time soon. There is one fairly normal recipe, Green Bean and Cauliflower Casserole. I bring it up because Jenny despises Green Bean casserole for some reason. My hope is that with cauliflower involved, she might be more open. It also has mushrooms, shallots, and even yogurt. It’s more complicated than the usual green beans with cream of mushroom soup and fried onions on top. You’ll need some ham, flour, and even vermouth. It sounds like it could end up in a 4 star restaurant. Or on your table with THIS RECIPE.
