The super smart science people have put together a new Map Of The Observable Universe. It doesn’t seem all that impressive at first. It’s mostly black background with tons of tiny bright dots on it. But then you realize that every dot isn’t a star, it’s an entire galaxy with billions of stars inside of it. Then your head will explode because it hits you that somehow, some way, astronomers are able to see and document this much space.
Every single dot is billions of stars and most of those stars have multiple planets flying around them. It’s only what we can detect. NASA estimates that there are 100 billion other galaxies out there. Think about that the next time some creates the world’s biggest waffle.
