You’ve probably heard someone referred to looking like a dried up, old prune. Well, now there’s actual science that says if you are dried up, you’ll look old. Or, at least, older. Maybe not so much like a prune, but………. The point is hydration, hydration, hydration. When we’re thirsty, our bodies build up serum sodium. A new study found that people with more serum sodium, meaning less hydrated, are 50% more likely to end up being biologically older than they are in years age. That means the wrinkles, the sagging, the age marks, and all the rest of the stuff that makes people look older. Also, it appears that those people are more likely to develop chronic diseases and die at a younger age. So, less talking and more drinking at the water cooler. Just don’t turn into that person at the gym who thinks you have to drink 2 or 3 gallons of water a day to be healthy. You’ll just end up making your kidneys angry. And you’ll never get anything done because you’ll be in the bathroom all day……. Drinking your water.
