Whether we like it or not, robots are quickly replacing humans at grocery stores (let’s pretend the self checkout is a “robot”), fast food restaurants, and now . . . THE BAR (lookout baristas, you’ll be next?).
The thought of having ZERO human interaction with a bartender bugs me. That’s part of the experience. But I get it, more drinks (correctly made) will be served and I’m sure loooooots of money will be made and saved. Capitalism. Totally get it.
Now, when you’re finished with your drink(s), should you tip the robot for its service?
Let me rephrase the question . . . should you be charged with an *automatic* tip (convenience fee or service charge)?
Did your blood pressure go up a little bit? Mine did.
You mean to tell me I’m going to get served a beverage by a robot and then be charged for a convenience/service fee??? NO. THANK. YOU.
Watch the very short video below and read the comments. “He has a wife and two sparkplugs at home,” made me laugh and cry.
