I created a new cocktail for Valentine’s Day called “Sweet and Spicy”. I know this is a day late, but you can enjoy it any time. The first part takes a couple of days, but barely any work. You’ll need to infuse vodka with jalapeño. Take a 1.75 liter bottle of vodka, pour it in another container. Cut 1 large jalapeno pepper in half down the middle and put it in the vodka. Let it sit for 3 or 4 days. Then pour the vodka back into its original container through a small strainer to catch any seeds. Toss the jalapeno. The rest is simple. In a blender, mix an ounce of the infused vodka, 3 tablespoons of whipped cream, 3 medium to large strawberries (cut off the tops first), a teaspoon of sugar, 1 ½ tablespoons of grenadine, and several ice cubes. Blend it up! Before serving, pour some sugar on a clean surface. Wet the rim of your glass. Then press the rim into the sugar so the sugar sticks. Then pour the blended contents into the glass. You get the sweet taste up front with an ever so slight kick after taking a drink.
