She’s 18 years old now, but when she was 5, she’d heard about a terrible earthquake in Haiti and how it affected people there. She took her piggy bank to a Red Cross booth and gave them everything she had to help Haiti. It was $61.38. Last week, Juliette won a lottery in Canada for $48 million.
You know what she was doing when she bought the ticket? This is how nice she still is. She was going out to buy ice cream for her grandpa. She called him to ask what flavor he wanted. He told her to buy a lotto ticket instead since she’d just turned 18.
And boom. She can probably buy Haiti now.
She didn’t even know how to buy a lotto ticket. She had to call her dad and ask how.
