A beautiful pup named Baily got loose from her human’s home in El Paso, but she knew exactly where to go once they were looking for her. After Baily went on the run, the owners got on social media and posted about her missing and pointed people to the animal shelter where they’d adopted her from. Baily beat the humans to it and basically rescued herself by showing up at the shelter and ringing the doorbell. It’s one of the video doorbells. They were able to catch some pictures of her at the door. She’d found her way there after being gone 36 hours and 10 miles away.
I’ve never had a pet run away. I had an iguana who got out of his cage, But, I found him behind the fridge. As a young child, I had a cat that my mother said ran away. It was years and years later that she finally told me he got hit by a car and died. I’m glad Baily’s ok. Apparently, she’s not used to her new home yet.
