I’ve got an update on that mystery orb on a Japanese beach. It’s this 5 foot in diameter metal ball that they say appeared out of nowhere. Well, I called it. It’s a buoy.
They sent in scientists and wore special suits so no one could get contaminated by anything, the whole nine yards. They even x-rayed it to make sure it wouldn’t explode. But, the final determination by them and oceanographers from around the world is that it’s a buoy. Japanese officials have not determined where it came from though because it’s markings are gone and it’s too rusty.
I’ve poked a little fun at this situation, but there is something I hadn’t considered. The Japanese were concerned that it might have been something bad that North Korea could have sent their way. North Korea is close and always threatening them. So, they weren’t going o take any chances and I don’t blame them.
A mysterious metal ball spotted on a beach in Hamamatsu City this week prompted local police to scramble the bomb squad. A careful examination revealed it is not a threat — but shed no light on what it actually is. pic.twitter.com/ytClWsP0bw
