I was watching the new “teaser trailer” for Disney’s upcoming “Haunted Mansion” movie today and I thought, does anyone know what “teaser trailer” actually means. There used to be “trailers” for movies. They’d be a couple minutes long. Then, about 10 years ago, someone came up with “teasers”. They were around 15 to 30 seconds and only showed a couple shots from the film. And over the past couple years, people keep saying here’s the “teaser trailer”. But they’re always a couple minutes long and show a lot about the movie. They’re the same as trailers. Stop calling them teasers. I realize that trailers tease us by nature because they make us want to see more. But you can’t change the name now. They’re “trailers”. It’s tradition.
That said, the “Haunted Mansion” looks like fun. Here’s the TRAILER for it.
Did I ever tell you about the time I was at Disney World and it was raining and we got stuck riding the Haunted Mansion over and over for more than an hour? I’ll save that for another time. See, that’s me teasing a story. You’re welcome Hollywood.
