Do you remember that phrase “Talk to the hand”? You can now legitimately say that when buying things now. Amazon has a payment system that scans your palm to authorize transactions. One of the first things it’s being used for is, of course, buying booze.
I mean, people who are drinking often fumble things like trying to get their money or cards out. Their eyes would be too blood shot to scan. So, use something they’re drunkenly waving around anyway, their hands.
Anyway, it’s being implemented at Denver’s Coors Field. You have to be signed up for the Amazon One Identification service to use it. Of course, that means they’ll have some extra info about your body and Amazon is getting sued at the moment by multiple states for violation of privacy laws. So, there’s that. But hey, it means you wouldn’t have to show your ID anymore.
