Groping less than 10 secs isn’t sexual assault says judge in Italy.

You know how there’s a 5 second rule when you drop food on the floor? A judge in Italy has ruled that it’s legal to place your hand on someone else’s body without their permission for up to 9 seconds.

There was a court case there that involved a 66 year old man who pulled 17 year old woman’s pants down and groped her rear. The man claimed he was joking. The judge ruled that it didn’t constitute a crime because it lasted less than 10 seconds.

People aren’t real happy with the judge.

That said, normally I have a zero second rule for food on the floor. People walk over all sorts of stuff throughout the day including stuff left by animals. If a floor isn’t sterilized every second of the day, I’m leery. That said, if the food that falls on the floor is more expensive, I am more likely to pick it up and eat it. I’ll pick up cashews and brush them off, then eat them. Peanuts, not so much. I also have a zero second rule about people touching other people without their consent. I’m guessing the people doing the unwanted molesting need to be sterilized as well.
