What if you drove home, but your house was gone? Well, maybe not totally gone. Let’s say it a giant pile of wood, pipes, and furniture.
Susan Hodgson of Atlanta. came back from vacation to find a house her family owned had been demolished. The good news is that she wasn’t living in it at the time. So, no personal belongings got destroyed. The bad news is that some dopes who were hired to tear down a house went to the wrong address.
Susan’s neighbor said she’d approached the construction workers and tried to get them to stop, but was told to mind her own business. She called Susan who sent over a family member, but it was too late. Plus, the man in charge admitted that according to his permit, it was the wrong address.
So, now they’re trying to get the police to do something, but not getting far and the company that tore her house down, You Call It We Haul It, has not responded to her at all.
She’s got to find out who hired them and put pressure there. A nice law suit will get fingers pointing and people talking. By the way, the median price of a house in Atlanta right now is $439.9 thousand.
