Everyone knows that I love Mac and Cheese. I’ve found mac and cheese recipes for Christmas, Halloween, and even tips from a professional wine taster on what wines go best with what kinds of mac and cheese for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. Now, I’ve found a special Thanksgiving Day mac and cheese recipe called………. Pumpkin Mac And Cheese.
I didn’t come up with this one, but I’m intrigued. Instead of cheddar, fontina and gouda cheeses are mixed with pumpkin puree, nutmeg, ground mustard, sage leaves, cayenne, and parmesan. After a lot of mixing, melting, and whisking, it goes over some cavatappi pasta. Then, on top, some panko crumbs to give it a slight crunch.
This Pumpkin Mac and Cheese sounds like it has more a rich, fall flavor and the recipe is found on The Pioneer Woman website. They have an instructional video too. HERE’S THE LINK to see it all.
