The good news is that UNL is in the news for a groundbreaking study concerning the health of about everybody. The bad news is that it’s going to ruin lunch for almost everyone. They found that if you microwave food inside of plastic containers, the food gets filled with millions of nanopastic and microplastic particles that ends up in your blood. A lot of those are the forever plastic stuff that take gazillions of years to break down. All it took was three minutes of nuking something in plastic containers and then they found millions per square inch.
The researchers don’t know how it’ll affect your body, but most people are betting that it can’t be good. They do think that the plastic particles are harming kidneys.
Jenny and I save a lot of containers from food like Cool Whip, cottage cheese, and sour cream. Then we use them for leftovers and often to microwave things in. I’ve been doing that for decades. They could probably build a set of patio furniture out of all the plastic in my system. When I burp, it tastes like Tupperware.
