When you’re out riding your bike, running, or walking, every now and then you see something you can’t explain. Last Saturday, Jenny saw a turkey in the snow.
Now you’re thinking, “Turkeys walking around the trails in Lincoln isn’t that unusual”.
It was a frozen turkey, like a Butterball. It’s a processed and plucked turkey that you would buy in a grocery store. Someone had taken all the packaging off too. Just a naked, uncooked, 20 pound turkey on the ground at Robert’s Park. There are so many questions. Why isn’t it wrapped? How did an uncooked Thanksgiving type of frozen turkey end up in a park all by itself? How could anyone lose a 20 pound turkey that they were lugging around? Why does the picture look like it’s watching me no matter where I’m standing in the room? I feel like Jenny has dragged me into an episode of the “Twilight Zone”.
Here’s a picture she took. You’ll notice that she didn’t get too close in case it’s actually a Predator face.
I welcome all theories. Post them on the B107.3 Facebook page.
