Neighbor didn’t have shovel. What he scooped snow with, left us laughing.

Friday afternoon, when all the snow hit, I was downstairs with a guy from John Henry’s looking at our furnace that had quit working. Jenny was upstairs and called for me to come take a look. Our next door neighbors got their car stuck half way in the drive way and half way on the street.

These neighbors are in their early 20s. These past few months are the first they’ve ever lived in a house as adults. They don’t have a lawn mower. They don’t have tools to fix things around the house. And, they don’t have snow shovels. So………

They were trying to dig the car out using an old baby stroller. That’s why Jenny called for me to come look. He was frantically trying to dig through the snow using the seat of a baby stroller as the scoop.

Jenny, I, and the John Henry’s guy all had a good laugh. Then I asked Jenny to open our garage so the JH guy and I could each grab one of our multiple shovels and help the neighbor dig out. Also helped push the car into the street and away. The neighbor thanked us profusely and asked if he could borrow the shovel to scoop the rest of his driveway and sidewalk. I handed it over.

Then we went inside and laughed some more.
