Chocolate habanero cake for Jenny’s B-day!

By Austin Michael Feb 9, 2024 | 6:55 PM

It’s my wife’s birthday today! Instead of baking a normal birthday cake, I had to experiment. I mean, everyone knows that I can’t do normal when it comes to food and recipes.

First, I put an ounce of olive oil, half a cup of water, and 2 habanero peppers in a blender for a small put potent potion. Yes, this was part of the plan for birthday cake.

After, I fixed a German Chocolate cake mix and a Dark Chocolate brownie mix separately. Then I mixed them at a 3 to 1 , cake to brownie, ratio in 3 batches.

I mixed in some of the habanero juice in to the first batch then used it to bake 6 large cupcakes. I frosted them with cream cheese frosting.

I baked the second batch into 15 smaller cupcakes without adding habanero to the cake. I mixed it in with chocolate frosting and used that on the cupcakes.

There was no habanero in the third batch at all. I baked a normal chocolate cake……… that I added a bunch of bacon I’d broken into little bits. Then I frosted half with chocolate frosting and half with cream cheese frosting.

We haven’t gotten to the bacon cake yet, but the brownies are really good in a spicy chocolate kind of way.
