“D” is for “dirty donut deals”. Bakery tried to pass off other store’s as their own.

There’s a bakery in Long Island called the Savory Fig that claims their doughnuts are gluten free and vegan. A vegan market store had been selling the doughnuts. They got suspicious when the doughnuts looked a lot like something that came from a popular chain. The doughnuts were covered in sprinkles shaped like the tiny “D”s that Dunkin uses. They asked Savory Fig about it. Savory said they’d baked everything.

Still not convinced, the owners of the market store tested and found gluten galore! Not knowing what else went into baking the obviously lied about doughnuts, the market store pulled all product and dropped the bakery as a supplier.

The doughnuts were exact matches to Dunkin’s right down to the very specific sprinkles. Why lie? That’s be like me, who can’t draw a straight line, trying to pass off a Monet painting as my own. Yes, I painted all of those sunflowers even though I haven’t seen on since I lived in Kansas 20 years ago. And I totally use spray paint to create the pastel coloring. The signature? Well, Monet is my Artist stage name……… like Austin when I’m on the radio. Why are you calling the police?
