According to a professor at Anglia Ruskin University, there are 5 times as many female psychopaths running around that previously thought. Apparently, most people in the field of psychology believed that for every 1 female psychopath, there are 6 men meeting the standards.
The professor Dr. Clive Boddy, said that psychopathic women exhibit traits like being deceitful and not showing any kind of empathy or emotional depth. But, those are usually labeled as male traits. So, when a female psychopath does it, it’s usually chalked up to something else.
Professor Boddy says, “”Female psychopaths tend to use words, rather than violence, to achieve their aims, differing from how male psychopaths tend to operate.” He’s been studying the effects of psychopaths in the workplace since 2005.
I watched a video today called “10 Warning Signs of Psychopathy” by therapist Lisa LeBlanc. She talks about how female psychopaths act in relationships. Everything she said matches a woman I dated years ago. Everything. I was in therapy for a year after even though I broke up with her. Here it is.
