Finally something you can do to make Peeps edible. I ran across a recipe that uses chocolate, cream, and Peeps to make a baked Easter dessert that you dip graham crackers into to some yumminess. It basically comes down to covering the bottom of a skillet or a pan with chocolate chips, drizzling in some cream, lining Peeps on top, and baking. It turns into a gooey chocolaty marshmallow mix ready to scoop up onto the top of graham crackers.
The Ingredients:
—- It calls for half a cup of heavy cream, but I’d suggest a little less, maybe down to ¼ a cup.
—- 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips. However, if you use a pan or glass dish, adjust accordingly.
—- Enough Peeps to line up together and cover the chips and cream. Again, varies by what you put them in.
—- A pack or two of graham crackers.
How To:
—- Set oven to 375. They say 450, but I I’d be afraid it’d scorch the Peeps too fast.
—- Put the chips and cream in a sauce pan. Cook over medium until the chips are melted.
—- Pour that into the baking container. Align Peeps on top, sitting next to each other like friendly little bunnies.
—- Bake 5 to 10 minutes. A little golden brown is about where you want them Peeps.
