Reason number 284 why I’ll never go to Florida again: They’ll try to feed you to alligators. 9 people were on a tour of the Everglades last week. All 9 cruising along on an airboat. All nine and the driver were tossed off the boat into gator infested water.
The driver saw an alligator and tried to turn to get a better view. What he didn’t do was slow down or understand physics. He took a hard turn with a light boat at a high speed and flipped the boat.
Everyone got out of the water alive. And when police got there, they arrested the boat operator because he didn’t have the proper papers to actually drive the boat. Which is amazing because the only qualifications you need are 4 or more teeth and a basic understanding of poker.
Not for nothing, but it’s alligator mating season. I’m just sayin’ that there are several ways this situation could have gone down.
