If your family were being attacked by a horde of monkeys, how would you save them? As ridiculous as this situation sounds, it happened to a family in India a few weeks ago. But they were saved by the quick thinking of their 13 year old daughter Nikita with help from Alexa. Yes, Alexa as in that AI living in your Amazon Dot speaker.
Apparently they had guests over and they left the gate open. And we all know how monkeys feel about open gates. They take it as an invitation and always come in without bringing any refreshments. Once the primates got in the house, they started scaring people and not putting the lid down on the toilet. They used all of the ice in the fridge and didn’t use coasters. It was a disaster.
Nikita had enough and asked Alexa to play the sounds of a dog barking. That scared all of the monkeys who quickly left the house………. But not before complimenting the family on their choice of drapes.
A spokesman for Amazon said, “The incident is a great example of how quick thinking paired with easy-to-use technology like Alexa can be of assistance around the house.”
