B107.3 - Lincoln's #1 At Work Station

Quick fix to Netflix issue almost everyone has.

If you’re watching movies on Netflix and a lot of times the music will get too loud and the voices too soft, then your Netflix settings might think you have surround sound when you don’t. Sometimes they simply default to surround sound when your speakers or sound bar aren’t made for surround. And some of us don’t know if we have surround sound speakers. I mean, can you tell me what kind of sound bar you have for your TV without looking at it. After owning mine for 4 years, I can’t tell you if mine is a 1.5,  2.7,  or 3.14 sound bar.

So, we’ve just sat and took it when the audio seemed jacked up. No more!

There is a quick fix.

— Start a movie or show and pause it.

— Then use the “Other” option on the toolbar and choose English [Original] instead of English [Original](5.1).

This should make all the sounds blend better.

Hulu runs everything on 2.0 stereo, not surround.

Disney+ has a bunch of titles that come in surround if you want. You have to switch to it in the audio settings.

Same thing with Amazon Prime Video; you have to manually switch it to surround.
