Lincoln Police Searching for Hot Dog Dunking Delinquent, Home Depot Thieves

By Chase Porter Apr 24, 2024 | 6:31 AM

Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in solving two separate cases: one involving an odd trespassing suspect, and the other involving two suspects accused of shoplifting from Home Depot.

The first case occurred on March 28, 2024, around 5:30 a.m. at a residence near 33rd and Holdrege Street.

Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says home security video shows the suspect take a seat on a rocking chair on the victim’s porch.

Rather bizarrely, he can be seen dipping a hot dog into a beverage, and leaving the trash on the porch.

He later wanders around the victim’s property, looking at their backyard, before eventually walking away on foot.

Video and picture of the perplexing incident can be viewed below.

The next case occurred on March 23, 2024, at The Home Depot located in south Lincoln near S. 70th and Nebraska Parkway.

The two suspects, a male and a female, were seen entering the store together on security video,.

Later, the female suspect exited the store with her purse appearing to be filled with items, and the male can be seen exiting with a cart full of Milwaukee tools — unpaid for.

The list of Milwaukee items stolen included multiple lithium ion battery packs, a double drill impact kit, and an impact wrench — totaling over $1,500 in value.

The duo left in a white pickup truck with no plates.

Photos of the suspects can be viewed below.
