A van stolen from a north Lincoln auto repair business earlier this week has been located, according to Lincoln Police.

Just before 10:00 p.m. on May 21, authorities were notified of someone driving an orange van inside the T.O. Haas near 27th and Folkways. According to LPD Captain Todd Kocian, the caller reported the van striking one of the vehicle lifts before exiting through an overhead garage door and fleeing northbound on 27th Street.

Additionally, a brown van was used to ram the overhead garage door before the suspect exited the building. That van was found a short time later just east of the business, stuck off the road.

The orange van has now been located by authorities in Iowa.

Kocian updated today, Officers with the Council Bluffs Police Department found the van in a business parking lot on May 22.

One individual was found in the vehicle, sleeping. He is identified as 39-year-old Joshua Pearce. He was ultimately arrested by CBPD for an outstanding warrant and possession of stolen property.

“We are still working on the burglary investigation on our end,” said Kocian.
