A Lincoln man has been arrested for possession of a stolen car and DUI.
Just before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, a Lincoln Police officer pulled over a black 2011 Infinity FX50 for making an improper turn near intersection of 13th and ‘K’ Street.
The driver, 35-year-old Dewon Harper of Lincoln, showed signs of impairment according to LPD Captain Todd Kocian.
This prompted a DUI investigation from police. During the process, it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Memphis, TN, in December 2023.
Harper was subsequently arrested and charged with Theft By Receiving Stolen Property. Additionally, he was cited and released for DUI, Improper Turn, No Valid Registration, and No Operator’s License.
