Women’s Health got a bunch of experts together to figure out which exercise burn the most calories. This perked my interest because I’ve been trying to lose the same 10 pounds for a year now.
They listed nine. The bottom one surprised me; stairs at between 450 and 670 calories an hour. The most sweat and exhaustion I get at the gym are from stairs machine. I can ride a bike for 4 hours. 10 minutes on stairs and I tap out. I thought for sure that’d be towards the top of the list. Speaking of, let’s move to the top 3.
Number 3 is kickboxing at 582 to 864 calories per hour. Number 2 is running sprints at 639-946 calories per hour. And the best way to burn calories according to Women’s Health is jumping rope at up to 990 calories per hour. Your intensity makes a difference in all these as well.
