Doritos can make skin see though. No joke.

There’s an ingredient in Doritos that can make skin transparent. Yes, I said skin and see though.

Oddly enough, it’s an orange food coloring called that causes this to happen. It’s called Tartrazine. Lord knows why, but scientists were doing some kind of test by rubbing it on the skin of mice. A few minutes into it, they could see blood vessels and internal organs a centimeter inside the skin.

It works by changing the amount of light refracted by skin.

All jokes aside, this is a promising tool for helping sick humans. It won’t let doctors see all the way inside you……. yet. But it would have tons of uses. And, they say it’s totally safe. In fact, once you wipe it off, the invisibility effect……… it disappears!

They also say it’s cheap. Obviously they haven’t seen the rising cost of snack chips. $6 or more for an 8 ounce bag? Are you kidding me?
