The 2025 Nebraska baseball schedule was unveiled by the athletic department Tuesday, highlighted by matchups with perennial powers Oregon State, LSU, and UCLA. NU is scheduled to play 25 of its 56 regular-season games at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park.
The Huskers start their season with 11 straight games away from Lincoln, starting Feb. 14 in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the MLB Desert Showcase against an opponent to be determined. The highlight of that early portion of the schedule is Feb. 28-March 2, when Nebraska participates in the Frisco College Classic and faces Sam Houston, LSU and Kansas State.
On March 5, the Huskers open their home schedule against South Dakota State. The six-game homestand continues with a three-game series against new conference foe Washington March 7-9 and a mid-week, two-game series against Wichita State March 11-12. Then, the Huskers hit the road for California, where they’ll play eight straight games as part of a nine-game roadtrip. After a three-game series at UCLA March 14-16, Nebraska will play two at Pepperdine March 18-19, then another three-game conference series in the Golden State, this time against USC March 21-23. The roadtrip concluded with a game at Kansas State March 25.
The Huskers return home for their most compelling home series of the year, a three-game series with Oregon State March 28-30, followed by the first game against Creighton April 1. The schedule is also highlighted by a eight-game homestand April 29-May 11. After facing Kansas State April 29, Nebraska hosts a three-game series with Minnesota May 2-4, then concludes the Creighton series May 6 before closing home regular-season play in a three-game series against Michigan May 9-11. NU wraps regular season play with a three-game series at Purdue before preparing to possibly defend their Big Ten Tournament championship at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.
Nebraska last year earned a 40-22 overall record while taking second in the Big Ten with a 16-8 mark. The Huskers won the Big Ten tournament and went 1-2 in the Stillwater, Okla., NCAA Regional.
