Rude things to avoid at holiday visits.

Holiday guests……. One year my brother and his daughters stayed with us. One daughter, 13 at the time, left the shower running after she got out. It was downstairs so we didn’t know it until about 8 hours later. We still don’t have any idea why. She even went back down there at one point and came back………. With it still on.

That said, Buzzfeed asked a bunch of etiquette experts to come up with a list of the rudest things you can do if staying with someone.

These are my 3 faves. Or maybe I shouldn’t say faves, rather, pet peeves.

Don’t touch or move things. It ain’t your house and it ain’t your things. You’re not allowed to fiddle with my collector’s Boba Fett, light up helmet that’s hanging on the wall. If you’re not changing the batteries, don’t take it down.

Don’t bring someone that wasn’t invited to come with you. A cousin showed up one Christmas with a gal he surprise married. No one knew her. It was uncomfortable for everyone. Also, divorced 2 years later. That wasn’t as much of a surprise.

AND, by far the worst, snooping around. If you’re curious, just ask. Are those Christmas lights all around our the main shower? Yes. Why? Because awesome.
