There are these levitating balls that light up. You can throw like a boomerang and do tricks with. They look super cool in the ads with people effortlessly passing them to each other around corners and playing games with hours of endless fun. My wife’s nephews were each given one for Christmas. The instructions say, “Just hold it at a 30 degree angle, give it a push forward, and release. Right. It’s like telling someone, “All you have to do to swish a free throw is put your hand under the ball and push it in the direction of that metal ring with a net.”
Anarchy ensued. Things were hit and toppled. Profanities may have been voiced. Notice the highly disappointed arm shrug after the release.
But they were still tossing them around the following morning. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were trying to fly them inside the van on the trip back to Omaha.
I got the nephews on my side something a lot safer, gift cards.
