Is there anyone in Hollywood who doesn’t have a brand of booze now? The Rock sells tequila. Snoop Dogg has Wine. Carmen Diaz was vegan wine. Ryan Reynolds has gin. And now Jennifer Lopez is hopping on the band wagon with a line of spritzers called Delola. She posted a video on Instagram the other day talking about how she was inspired by the lifestyle of the Italian coast and fell in love with it. She also said she just wanted to create something that tasted better and had less calories that she could share with friends and family. She also mentioned that it’s lower in alcohol than classic cocktails. It’s one of the longest Instagram videos I’ve ever seen. Clearly professionally produce and scripted. It’s more or less a long commercial.
It isn’t sitting well with some of her fans who point out that Jennifer Lopez doesn’t actually drink alcohol. There are lots of remarks like this on her Instagram post including this one, “Your husband is an alcoholic, yet launching an alcoholic brand. Seems super tone deaf, and very irresponsible. Non-alcoholic should have been the choice.”
