An Elmo cake went viral for the wrong reasons. Baker Brianna Romero took the order for a 4 year girl’s birthday. However she misread the text for the order as “Emo” cake. So she completely covered the cake in black frosting. One hour before she was to deliver the thing, she called the mother to confirm the cake and the mom asked for a big number 4 candle to be put on top and explained it was for a little girl. Brianna began to wonder why a 4 year old would be into Emo and Goth, so she went back to the original text.
Oopsy.
The cake, did end up with an Elmo face on top, but he has long, pitch black, straggly hair and bangs on his head. And she tried to lighten up the rest of the cake by sprinkling some little red candies around it. Needless to say, she told them it was free.
Then she posted about it on Instagram and it’s gone viral with lots of people asking her to make an Emo Elmo Cake for them too. So see, every mistake IS an opportunity…………. Like making all black cakes with a moping Muppet face on top. Brianna plans on taking some to the farmer’s market.
