Tokyo has a lost and found system for the entire city! I’ve talked about how when we visited, we were amazed by how nice the people are. Well, they’re so nice that you can lose something in a city of 14 million people and still get it back by filling out a lost and found report at the police station.
For example, an American woman lost her engagement ring in Tokyo. It was the same ring that her father proposed to her mother with, so it has a lot of sentimental value. Two days after losing it, it was turned in to a police station. It had been found at Tokyo station, where millions of people get on trains every day, and taken to the police. The police called her hotel and got it back to her.
I accidentally left a padlock at the gym and nobody turned it in to the lost and found. A padlock that no one else knows the combination to…… that somebody walked off with.
IT WAS RETURNED TO THE POLICE! Thank you all so much for your help 🖤🖤🖤 I am in shock and BEYOND grateful. Never taking it off my finger again! pic.twitter.com/4vK69rBS0O
