A.I. has done something to help save humanity for once. Scientists using a super computer with help from an A.I. have found a way to kill one of the most deadly superbugs in the world. It’s a bacteria that is resistant to pretty almost everything. Also, it gets around easily like living on door knobs and is a problem in hospitals for babies and people with compromised immune systems.
The A.I. was able to identify an antibiotic molecule that kills the bacteria. Then it predicted a compound that works. It would probably have taken years of trial and error in a lab to do it on our own. And this could be just the beginning. This type of setup can study billions of molecules that conventional methods would take decades and billions of dollars to study.
