A.I. did not attack operator in military drone simulation.

The story about the Air Force running a drone simulation with an AI and the AI turning on the operator is not true.

It’s a story straight out of the Terminator movies. The government has an AI helping and given orders to destroy SAM sites, but when the human says no, the drone turns on the human operator and then destroys the government site. It does this because the AI’s main goal is being hampered by humans and it determined we have to go too.

This thing is being shared all over social media. It looks kind of like a legit article. But it never happened. It was a hypothetical that Col. Tucker Hamilton put out there when talking about AI at a London conference to point out potential problems. “The Department of the Air Force has not conducted any such AI-drone simulations and remains committed to ethical and responsible use of AI technology,” Ann Stefanek, an Air Force spokesperson, said in a statement.

Of course, if it had happened, do you think the Air Force would want that to be know? I mean, that’s pretty much exactly how it started in The Terminator………. With Skynet attacking people with drones. I’m just sayin’.
