It’s a nightmare scenario for brides and grooms. You set up a really expensive dinner for everyone and then everyone gets sick. Lindsey Humphreys set up catering through a place called The Fireside Grille in Altoona, Iowa. They showed up 6 hours early with the food ready. It was served lukewarm after sitting around all that time. First, her husband got sick. Then more than 50 other people started to……….. uh, how does that Pepto Bismo song go. Oh yeah, “When you have nausea, heart burn, indigestion, upset stomach………. And you get the idea. Many of them were sick for a couple of days. Lindsey contacted the restaurant. They tried to blow it off and say it must have been something else. Then one of the owners tried to get her to sign paperwork saying it wasn’t them for $600. Instead, Lindsey went to the Iowa Department of Food Inspection and Appeals. They found 5 violations on site including, you guessed it, food being stored too warm.
I mean, I guess everyone is going to remember that wedding and that’s what you really want, right?
